Travel Information
Please read carefully the information available on the Les Houches School of Physics webpage here.
In addition, we provide some information below, but check your email
inbox for an email we sent to the participants with more detailed
information.
Arrival Day
On Sunday, April the 20th participante can check in ONLY from 3 pm on.
Check in cannot not happen before because there is no lunch served, no restaurants near by, and the first meal is dinner.
Car Parking
The cars are required to be parked in the UPPER parking lot.
Taxis from Les Houches Train Station
For those arriving at the train station of Les Houches, be aware that
there are only a few taxis in Les Houches often very busy on Sundays
(and Easter Sunday this year!). It is safer to book in advance. Here
are local taxi's phone numbers:
Garny taxi : 06 12 35 30 72,
Favre taxi : 06 11 27 23 21,
and Servoz taxi: 06 84 66 86 73.

Shuttle from Geneva Airport
The Les Houches School of Physics recommends that participants arriving
at Geneva Airport uses the shuttle service that will take you directly
to the School venue:
Participants should make their own reservation (we advise you to book a round trip).
In our Facebook group participants are already organising groups to make the reservations.
IMPORTANT:
The Alpybus company often doesn't want to drive up to the École de
Physique and will drop people at the center of the village
which is quite far from the School site.
Equipment and Clothing
Due to the location of the school, sport clothes for cold and wet weather are the best choice.
Bring also with you good walking (e.g. hiking) shoes and a flashlight.
Be sure all electronics you bring is adapted to AC, 50Hz, 220V.
Dietary (and other) Requirements
Please inform us (if you haven't done already) about special dietary requirements.
Also, be aware that Les Houches Physics school is not an hotel, so the choice of food may be limited.
